Car Broker & Vehicle Sourcing Melbourne — We Find It, Negotiate It, Finance It
Most people do the hardest part of buying a car — the finding, the haggling, the trade-in — completely alone, against professionals who do it every day. Integrated Finance Group's vehicle sourcing service puts professionals on your side: an established network of dealers and wholesalers across every major brand, genuine relationships with prestige European marques, and the negotiating leverage that comes from buying constantly rather than once every five years. Combined with our vehicle and asset finance practice, it's one conversation from "I need a car" to keys in hand — at numbers you're unlikely to match on your own.
What the service covers
- Vehicle sourcing — new and used cars, utes and commercial vehicles across all major brands, located through our dealer and wholesale network rather than the classifieds.
- Price negotiation — we negotiate on your behalf with the leverage of a repeat trade buyer, on the vehicle, the accessories and the changeover figure.
- Prestige & European specialists — established relationships with prestige European brands, and the market knowledge to negotiate strongly on high-end vehicles where the margins — and the savings — are largest.
- Selling your existing vehicle — access to our wholesaler and dealer network to move your current car at a genuine market figure, without the lowball trade-in or the private-sale circus.
- Aftermarket, done sensibly — window tinting, ceramic coating, paint protection and accessories through our trusted trade network, where dealer-delivered options often carry their heaviest margins.
- Finance, integrated — consumer loans, chattel mortgages and novated leases arranged in parallel, so your budget is pre-approved before negotiations start. See the finance structures and run the numbers on our car finance calculator.
How vehicle sourcing works
- 1. The brief. Make and model if you know it; the job the car has to do if you don't. Budget, timing, must-haves, trade-in details. Fifteen minutes, phone or in person.
- 2. Pre-approved budget. If finance is part of the picture, we arrange approval first — a buyer with settled funding negotiates from strength, and knows their true ceiling including on-roads and extras.
- 3. The search. We work the dealer and wholesale network — including stock that never reaches public listings — and come back with real options at real numbers, not showroom sticker prices.
- 4. The negotiation. We negotiate the vehicle price, the accessories and the changeover as separate line items, because bundled "deals" are where buyers lose. You approve the final numbers; nothing proceeds without you.
- 5. Delivery and settlement. Finance settles, your old vehicle is collected or traded through the network, and the new one arrives inspected and ready — with the aftermarket work booked through our trade contacts if you want it.
The prestige European practice
High-end vehicles are where professional buying assistance earns the most. Prestige pricing is opaque by design: list prices are a starting position, dealer margins and factory support vary month to month, and the gap between a walk-in price and a well-negotiated one on a European marque can run to five figures — before you get to the trade-in, where prestige owners routinely leave the most money behind.
Our relationships with prestige European brands and their dealer networks mean we know where the genuine room is: end-of-quarter positions, demonstrator and dealer-stock opportunities, build-slot availability and the accessories that carry margin versus the ones that don't. For business owners and private clients, we fold the vehicle into the wider financial picture — the right ownership entity, the right finance structure, and a changeover negotiated like the asset transaction it is.
Selling your current vehicle — without the circus
The trade-in is where dealers claw back what they gave you on the new car; the private sale is weekends of strangers, test drives and payment risk. Our network offers a third path: wholesale and dealer buyers who bid on your vehicle sight-unseen or via inspection, settle fast and handle the paperwork. The figure is a genuine market number — typically stronger than a defensive trade-in, without the private-sale hassle. Where a payout exists on the old loan, we coordinate the discharge and the new finance so the changeover lands cleanly.
Aftermarket without the dealer markup
Window tinting, ceramic coating, paint protection film, tow bars, roof racks — dealer option lists price these at their most expensive. The same work, often by the same subcontractors dealers use, is available through our trade network at trade-realistic prices. We're not the installers; we simply connect you with the operators we and our clients use ourselves — and we'd rather you spend the savings on the car. If you prefer everything dealer-delivered for warranty simplicity, we'll negotiate the options list hard instead. Either way, ask before you sign an options sheet.
Why run this through your finance broker?
Because the three transactions — buy, sell, finance — are one financial event, and handling them separately is how value leaks. A dealer who controls your trade-in, your finance and your options list controls the whole margin stack; unbundling it is worth real money. We sit on your side of all three at once: pre-approved funding that sets a true budget, a purchase negotiated on its own merits, a disposal at market value, and a finance structure chosen for your situation with your accountant's input where business use is involved — not whatever the business manager's screen suggested.
And it's the same boutique standard as everything else at IFG: you deal with our team directly, with directors Brian and Frank behind every structure. One relationship, from your first ute to the fleet — or the first European badge to the one after that.
Vehicle Sourcing — Frequently Asked Questions
- What does the vehicle sourcing service cost?
- For most clients arranging finance through IFG, sourcing assistance is part of the relationship rather than a separate fee. Where a standalone or unusually involved sourcing engagement carries a fee, it's agreed transparently upfront — and it's only worth paying if the negotiated outcome clearly exceeds it.
- Can you really beat the price I'd negotiate myself?
- Usually — not through magic, but through repetition and relationships: we know current dealer positions, factory support and where the genuine room is this month, and we negotiate the car, trade and extras as separate items. On prestige vehicles the gap is largest. We can't guarantee a specific saving, and we'll tell you honestly if a price you've already found is strong.
- Do you only source new cars?
- No — new, demonstrator and used, including dealer and wholesale stock that never reaches public listings. For used vehicles we arrange inspections and history checks before any commitment.
- How does selling my current car through your network work?
- You provide the details and photos (or we inspect), our wholesale and dealer contacts bid, and you accept or decline the best figure. Settlement is fast and paperwork is handled, including loan payouts where one exists. No strangers in your driveway, no payment risk.
- Can you source and finance a vehicle for my business or fleet?
- Yes — it pairs naturally with our asset finance practice: sourcing through the network, chattel mortgage or lease structures, and staged fleet purchases with pre-approved facility lines so you can move when stock appears.
- Do you handle novated lease vehicles?
- Yes — we source the vehicle and coordinate with your employer's novated provider, which often beats the provider's own procurement pricing. See our guide to novated leasing and the EV exemption for what's currently possible.
- What aftermarket work can you arrange?
- Window tinting, ceramic coating and paint protection are the common requests, through operators we use ourselves. We connect and recommend; the installer contracts with you directly and warrants their own work. For anything affecting the manufacturer warranty, we'll flag what to check before booking.
